The PRX Non-Peeling Peel is a cosmetic treatment that promotes collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scars, and pores. Though PRX-T33 is referred to as a peel, it actually doesn’t cause peeling of the skin. Instead, it penetrates the dermis to stimulate collagen production and reduce dryness, dullness, and various pore issues. It contains a combination of trichloroacetic acid, kojic acid, and hydrogen peroxide.

The skin has three layers: the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous. The dermis contains fibroblasts, which contribute to skin laxity or tightness. To effect change in the epidermis, or outer layer of skin, treatment needs to stimulate the fibroblasts, a connective element of tissue. The fibroblasts support the production of collagen and elastin to keep skin tight. Unlike other peels, PRX-T33 is formulated to target the dermis, without causing sensitivity or peeling.

Where Can It Be Used?

TREATMENT AREAS

The PRX Non-Peeling Peel can be used to treat the back, arms, hands, legs, chest, and face. Facial results include the reduction of acne, acne scars, large pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. When the PRX Non-Peeling Peel is used on the body, patients may notice a reduction in the appearance of stretch marks and scarring.

The Treatment Process

WHAT TO EXPECT

CLEANSING & APPLICATION

The aesthetician will begin by gently washing and drying the client’s skin. Then, the skin will be massaged with PRX until it is completely absorbed (about two to five applications of a gel-like substance).

RINSING & MOISTURIZING

The aesthetician will then rinse the client’s face and apply a moisturizing cream. The entire treatment lasts about 30 minutes, with no downtime or peeling but all of the benefits of a typical peel.

AFTER TREATMENT

Clients may have slightly pink skin after treatment, but can apply sunscreen and makeup immediately. For optimal results, clients should receive one treatment per week for a total of four weeks.
